Biokar Tergitol 7 Agar - Pre-poured medium 20 plates Ø 55 mm BM14708 is a ready-to-use agar medium designed for the detection and enumeration of coliform bacteria in water and food samples. It contains Tergitol 7, a selective and differential medium that inhibits the growth of non-coliform bacteria, allowing for the selective isolation of coliforms. Crystal violet and bile salts are incorporated into the medium to further enhance its selectivity and enable easy differentiation of lactose-fermenting and lactose-negative coliforms based on colony color.
