Biokar LACTOSE-SULFITE BROTH 500g BK140HA is a selective and differential medium used for the isolation and presumptive identification of Salmonella spp. It is a modification of Wilson-Blair bismuth sulfite agar and contains lactose as a fermentable carbohydrate. The addition of ferrous sulfate and sodium sulfite facilitates the production of hydrogen sulfide, resulting in the formation of black colonies.
